1. HOW DOES MADE-TO-ORDER WORK?

Each piece—unless marked ready to ship—is made just for you in our Berlin studio, beginning the moment you place your order. This allows us to reduce waste, personalise fit, and work at a slower, more meaningful pace.

2. CAN I CUSTOMISE THE FIT OF MY PIECE?

Yes. Many garments can be adjusted in length or waist. Leave a note at checkout or email us before ordering.

3. HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY ORDER?

Please allow up to 10 working days for production. Once ready, your piece will ship via the method selected at checkout. If you need it by a certain date, reach out—we’ll always try to accommodate.

4. WHERE ARE THE ATELIER MAGATA PIECES MADE?

All pieces are handcrafted in our Berlin studio using natural materials—sourced from Italy, Europe, and our travels. Each one carries the trace of where it came from, and how it was made.

5. DO YOU ACCEPT RETURNS OR EXCHANGES?

Yes. We accept returns on ready-to-ship and standard size made-to-order items within 14 days of delivery. Customised pieces are eligible for store credit. See the full return policy [here].

6. WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MADE-TO-ORDER AND CUSTOMISED?

Made-to-order means we make your piece after you place the order, in a standard size. Customised goes further—it’s adjusted to your body, your preferences, your request.

7. HOW DO I CARE FOR MY MAGATA PIECES?

With gentleness. You’ll find care notes on each product page and a full guide [here] to help your piece last through many seasons.

8. CAN I SEND A PIECE AS A GIFT?

Of course. We offer digital gift cards, and we’re happy to include a handwritten note with your order. Just let us know at checkout.

9. DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?

Yes, we ship worldwide from Berlin. See more about timing and rates [here].
